What is Meditation? Meditation is a word that is often tossed around in our western culture but few people understand what meditation truly is or how it can help them on a daily basis.
The most common complaint or misunderstanding about meditation is the inability for frustrated individuals to get their mind to 'stop working'.
My experience when I began meditating was much the same. Just where did this idea come from that meditation is about stopping the mind? The mind does what it wants to do, and it will naturally come to rest when we fully surrender to what 'is'.
Meditation is the natural resting state of your being. It is not for you to attain or learn how to do; indeed on some level you are already in a deep state of meditation!
I am not here to teach you how to meditate. I am here to hold a space of conscious presence so that together we can remember our true essence.
The Transformative Power of Group Energy The energy of a group and a shared intention are extremely powerful instruments of change. I will use silence and guided inquiry to work with the group as a whole, while providing individualized attention for your unique personal process.
I am passionate about leading meditation groups, as sitting in silence has been the single most powerful tool of transformation in my life. The depth of insight, joy, peace and wisdom that have arisen through meditation continue to be profound teachers for me.
Whether a novice or an avid seeker of truth, if you are curious about meditation, you are most welcome.
